Overview
Dathent.ai ("Dathent", "we", "us") helps creators and businesses scale content production with AI-powered automation. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it across our website, web app, APIs, and integrations.
We have written this policy to be readable. If anything is unclear, email us at [email protected] and a real person will get back to you.
Information we collect
Account data — when you create an account we collect your name, email, password hash, workspace name, and billing details processed by our payment provider.
Content data — text, prompts, briefs, files, and generated outputs you submit to Dathent so we can produce results for you.
Usage data — pages visited, features used, device and browser metadata, IP address, and approximate location, used to operate and improve the product.
Integration data — when you connect a third-party service (Google, social platforms, CMS), we receive only the scopes you explicitly authorize.
How we use information
We use your information to operate the service, generate content on your behalf, personalize your workspace, process payments, prevent abuse, comply with the law, and communicate important product updates.
We do not use your private content to train public foundation models. Aggregated, de-identified usage signals may be used to improve internal models that serve only your workspace.
Dathent automates content creation, scheduling, and publishing, but these automated features do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you. You stay in control and can review or change what the service does at any time.
We send transactional messages (such as security, billing, and important service notices) as part of running your account. We send marketing email only if you have opted in, and every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe.
Data storage & security
Data is stored on encrypted volumes in tier-1 cloud providers (Cloudflare, AWS, GCP) in EU and US regions. Traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2+, and at rest with AES-256.
If a personal-data breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will notify the competent supervisory authority within 72 hours where the law requires it, and we will inform affected users without undue delay.
See our Security page for the full picture. →
Cookies & local storage
We use a small number of cookies and browser local storage to run Dathent. Strictly necessary storage keeps you signed in, remembers your language and theme, and records your cookie choices — it is essential and cannot be switched off.
We load no analytics or marketing trackers without your consent; if we add analytics in future, it will run only after you opt in. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies in the banner shown on your first visit, and change your choice at any time from the “Cookies” link in the footer. We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising, and we do not sell data collected through cookies.
Third-party services
We rely on a short list of vetted sub-processors to run the service: Cloudflare (hosting and infrastructure), Stripe (payments), OpenAI (AI generation — it receives the prompts, briefs, and content you submit so we can produce your results), and Tavily (market research). When you connect a social platform, the content you choose to publish is sent to that platform. Each sub-processor is bound by a data processing agreement, and we do not use your private content to train public AI models.
AI assistant connectors — if you connect Dathent to an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude (via the Model Context Protocol), then each time you ask the assistant to act, we send that assistant's provider only the data the action needs: your brand profile, content and post drafts with their captions and media, scheduling and performance data, the display names of your connected social accounts, and your plan and usage. We never send your password, payment details, or your connected accounts' access tokens. You control this connection and can revoke it anytime in Settings → Connected apps.
A current list of sub-processors is available on request at [email protected].
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
You can exercise most of these rights directly inside the app under Settings → Privacy. For anything else, write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
Data retention
We keep account data for the lifetime of your subscription. After cancellation we retain data for 30 days in case you reactivate, then permanently delete it.
Content you delete inside the product is removed from active systems immediately and purged from backups on a 35-day rolling cycle.
Children's privacy
Dathent is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change. Material changes are announced by email and in-app at least 14 days before they take effect.
